The Challenge
The Carbon Group were approached by a care business called Marissa Care, who had previously provided high-quality care services through contracts with NHS partners and hospice organisations such as St Barnabas. However, they had no direct presence in the consumer market and needed to rebrand, reposition and relaunch their services for a completely new audience: individuals and families looking for trustworthy, at-home care services.

The existing name, Marissa Care, often led to confusion—difficult to spell, hard to remember, and easily mistaken for other providers in the sector. The company needed a name and brand identity that would convey warmth, reliability and professionalism. Alongside this, they required a new website, rich with SEO content, that could inform and reassure families during some of the most difficult times of their lives. Social media channels also needed to be created from scratch to build visibility and trust with their new audience.

The Solution
We set about creating a brand from the ground up—something that would be memorable, meaningful, and instantly convey the values of care, community, and quality. After a strategic naming process, Honeycomb Care was born.

The name was inspired by the qualities of honey bees—industrious, collaborative, nurturing. A hive represents safety and structure, while the honey it produces is natural, high-quality, and unique—just like the care Honeycomb delivers. The company’s owner, affectionately known as the “Queen Bee” by her team, added a personal layer to the brand story, which we echoed in the visual identity with a subtle crown detail in the logo.

We developed a warm, comforting brand palette inspired by premium interiors—a Farrow & Ball-inspired selection that helped reinforce the quality and homeliness of the care on offer. The bee icon was subtly patterned with a honeycomb motif in the wings, adding depth and personality to the brand.

The website we created is clean, accessible, and packed with SEO-rich content. It not only showcases services, but also acts as an educational resource for families navigating new diagnoses and care needs—offering clarity and reassurance during moments of uncertainty. We also launched and optimised Honeycomb Care’s social media channels to reach their new direct-to-consumer audience and begin building brand awareness.

The Outcome
Honeycomb Care has quickly established itself as a trusted provider of home care services in Lincolnshire, growing its reputation beyond existing healthcare partners and successfully building new contracts and relationships with families across the region. The rebrand has helped the business stand out in a competitive market, while the website and digital presence have delivered tangible results in driving enquiries and increasing visibility.

The business has gone from a B2B supplier to a strong, consumer-facing care provider—with a name and identity that people remember, trust, and feel confident turning to when it matters most.
